Biggest. Art slump. Ever.

After what very well may have been a month or so, I was finally able to put pencil to paper again, in what I'm hoping are baby steps back into the world of art, which has become something of a foreign mystery to me.

Scary feeling, that.

As a result, I am turning off comments, as I'd rather just toss this up and move on.

This is for the SDL, or Samurai Duelers League, an invention of . Go check it out. It's a league of OCs meant for battle, where your win/lose record is kept in tallied up. It's all for fun.

I decided to throw a feudal version of Ree in, along with her pack of usual cronies. Only her demon horde, this time around, is an unruly gang of yakuza. She is the daughter of the recently offed leader of the clan, who was taken out (along with the majority of the town they resided in) by a mysterious plague. Hence, most of her 'brothers' in the background have disturbing appearances as a result.

With Ree as the new leader, this group of ravenous, fight-happy ne'er-do-wells roam the countryside in a much less organized fashion than previously accustomed under their boss, using Ree's naiveté as an excuse to go looking for money to swindle, towns to pillage and ruckus' to cause in a very public fashion.

Ree herself can fight quite well, nothing above average, until of course her 'family' comes to her aid, lifting her up and over themselves to deliver ridiculously over the top maneuvers that usually end up sacrificing at least four people in the process.

Rex Info:
Yes, I do realize Rex has, by far, the worst tailor ever to disgrace a kimono. But that's how he likes it. Rex is his usual slovenly self in this incarnation, acting as Ree's last line of defense in case troubles come her way, though it's hard to be sure if he fights for her more because of their friendship, or his views of her as a free ticket to easy street. Rex is a great deal more powerful than he looks, and enjoys fighting with unorthodox weapons, such as his pipe.

Lilith Info:
Lilith is also part of the clan, and in this version, plays quite a different role than her normal self.. (She is also holding a doll of one of Ronin's OCs, the Legendary Swordsman.) A foreigner, stranded in Japan after her parents were assassinated on a visit (of the "personal" political variety), she would have most likely died had Rex not come to her rescue. (Or so he'd have you believe.) Since that day she has sworn allegiance to the clan, and acts as their highest advisor. She wishes to impress Ree on any occasion she gets.
