Name: Ree
Age: 13
Occupation: 'Runt of the litter' freshman in a severely catholic high school.
Habitat: Upper-middle class suburbia
Likes: video games, particularly MMOs and RPGs, her family, art class at school.
Dislikes: kids who don't behave in public, loud people in movie theaters, cigarette smoke.
A compilation of pencil sketches and doodles I later colored in Photoshop of Ree, the lead role of the newest storyline I've been brewing.
You may recall her from here: [link] or here: [link]
The story of Ree is one of life, video games, and Hell.
That about sums it up.
Since so many folks commented on how sad she looked in her debut picture, I thought I'd sunny her up a bit and show her in her natural habitat. (See: playing video games) And sporting a summer outfit 'cause the weather in Chicago has been disgustingly muggy and humid lately, and drawing her in her usual frumpy long sleeves and baggy pants would have made me collapse.
She has a legion at her command whether she likes it or not, quite an eager legion at that, dedicated to her bidding and gaining her favor. When all she really wants is for the next Smash Bros. game to be released. What a pickle!
PS: Longtime watchers may notice a certain familiar bunny in the horde of monsters.
Thanks for stopping in to take a look, you.
EDIT: To the folks in the OC competition, treat Ree as you would a 'demon summoner' archetype. I can't tell you all the details but that's the basic idea. :3
very cool-looks like my kinda story!that first debut picture is just heartbreaking awwwww!
If it pans out into a comic please let me know so i can purchase it! with all my shiney pennies!

This new storyline looks like it'll be hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more, though don't want you to give up on Everafter... you must do both! You've got the free time, right?
Love the top-right drawing and the evil multi-game console monster doodles. Beware the diabolical hair beads!

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
