The excessive belief in one's own abilities, interfering with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise.

The darkest of the Sin girls. She enjoys methodically and systematically picking people apart from the foundation of their very being, and destroying them facet by facet, all while indulging in her own glory. She has a series of mirrors hooked up to her gown, which fan out like a peacock's tail when she needs an emergency reminder of how gorgeous she really is. The rest of the Sins aren't terribly fond of her, but she could care less, as she knows they're all jealous trollops anyway. She's determined to be the Sin that corrupts Seth to his end, and as such, adopts a fake personality around him to gain his trust and stroke his ego.. oh so tenderly. Ooh la la..
