Hansel and Gretel! Dastardly duo that Little Red runs into early on in her journey through Everafter..
Nothing like bastardizing liederhosen into some bizarre costuming fit for mentally ill fairytale characters.. this was fun. Those are giant candy thingies in Gretel's hair. The little caramel wraps, you know? Traditional 'candy' in my mind. The detailing in her dress are supposed to be reminiscent of candy as well, and sad faces. Probably.. tough to make out now though, haha. I've enjoyed warping my characters more in terms of proportions. I never wanted an entirely realistic style. I'd rather people look at the subject matter, the concept itself, over whether or not someone's neck is too long, etc.. (animators get away with it all the time) and it definitely gives them more character. Like Hansel's big 'ol ears.  You just wanna tug 'em.I hope you guys like it. Back to 7/13 commissions.. (Chapter Two of Everafter is coming! I promise!) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
