My only requirement of you.. if you want permission.. is you MUST send me a picture or two of you in the costume. Mwahahaha. I have to see how it turns out, if you end up going with it!
I am, well, beyond flattered that you'd want to dress up as a character of mine.. or rather, a twisted version of an already established character, anyway.. haha.. but flattering nonetheless! Ah, I'm excited now. Haha.. you've made my night.
There's a couple ways, but the old-fashioned ruler is the best.
The real trick that I haven't quite figured out is curved lines, which you can use a french curve on, but it's a little limiting... Still, being able to do them along an arcing path is essential to really selling some motions.
Comic Studio (excuse me, "Manga" Studio here in the US) is going to hit in a couple months, though, so I'm hoping to find an ideal solution in there.
Why do I have a feeling that Lieutenant Borsley's comment " I'd like to see her cut her way through this!" and his comments in the last panel are about to become Famous Last Words? By the way the way you draw action scenes and keep up the tension is the Boss. Keep up the good work man!
No no. She threw it, it's spinning around and moving forward (absolutely impossible to do, but hell, it's a fairytale. Mwahaha. Physics? What physics?) , and she's about to leap over it. This was a pain in the ass to try and do, panel-wise, especially what you'll see in the next page. It mighta been easier from a horizontal view as opposed to the 'coming straight at you look', but I was too far into it to want to start the whole scene over. Live and learn I guess!
